These are broad area planning ranges, not quotes. Costs vary widely by community, apartment size, and care level, and they change over time. Confirm current rates locally with each community you are considering.

Some communities fall below or above these ranges. Use them to sketch a budget, then get written pricing from each community.
What is usually included
- Rent: the apartment or room, utilities, and maintenance.
- Meals: often three meals a day in a dining room.

What is often billed extra
- Care level fees: many communities add a monthly charge based on an assessment of how much help a resident needs. This can change after reassessments.

- Incontinence care: supplies and help may be added to the care level or billed separately.
- Community or move-in fees, second-person fees, and some outings or services.
Memory care is more often priced as an all-inclusive monthly rate, but ask to be sure. Our touring checklist includes the fee questions to ask. To compare with care at home, try the care cost calculator.
